Evelyne L. (Davis) Dohn, 88, passed away September 10, 2016.
Evelyne was a graduate of Valley High School and had been a member of Chapel Hill United Church of Christ, Gruetli Helvetia Society, Women's Guild, and had retired from Bornstein Construction Co. Evelyne was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Dohn; her three children, Larry, Darryl, and Susie Morrow; her three brothers, Arnold, Red, and Floyd Davis; and five sisters, Helen Miles, Sylvia Miles, Zelma Gardner, Velma Embry, and Ann Graeter.
She is survived by three step-children, Donna Jean Broughton, Carl E. Dohn,
Jr. and William F. Dohn; nine grandchildren, Brian Barnes, Chad Broughton, Matthew Dohn, Tabitha (Dohn) Laux, Joseph Dohn, Laura Dohn, Kevin Dohn, Keith Dohn, and Kyle Dohn, all of whom she nearly spoiled with frozen peaches, orange juice popsicles, and homemade banana pudding. Evelyne is also survived by ten great grandchildren: Iain Barnes, Haley Broughton, Olivia Broughton, Maya Broughton, Lucy Laux, Lilly Laux, Ayla Dohn, Gordon Dohn, Sienna Dohn, and Addy Dohn.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens (West).
Visitation will be Tuesday at 2 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
