Born in Middletown Connecticut. Graduate of Wellesley College Class of 1950. Spent her summers swimming, sailing and biking at the family cottage in Grove Beach Westbrook, Connecticut. Loved to travel the world with friends and family. Volunteered with Boston Fatherless and Widows Society, New England Home for Little Wanderers, Wellesley Friendly Aid Society and Wellesley Service League. Member of the finance committee for the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts and long term member and leader at St Mary’s Church in Newton Lower Falls. She was passionate all her life about family, friends and community.
Visiting hours in the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home 477 Washington St. (route 16) WELLESLEY on Thursday September 15th from 5-8 PM. Memorial service in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 258 Concord St., Newton Lower Falls, on Friday September 16th 2016 at 2 PM. Friends and family kindly invited. Interment private.
