Hannah M. Adams, 101, formerly of Lowell and Hingham, passed away quietly at the Norwell Knoll Nursing Home Saturday, July 30th. Born in Lowell, Hannah graduated from Lowell High School then attended Wellesley College where she received her Bachelor's degree in education. She also received her Master's degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. After college her professional career took her to N.Y. and Washington D.C. as a teacher and a social worker, retiring in 1971 when she moved to Hingham. Hannah was active in the senior center and is remembered as an independent and active woman. She was the daughter of the late Etta B. (Fife) Adams and Mark A. Adams and sister of the late Margaret Adams Jewell. A memorial service will be conducted on Tuesday, August 9th, at 11 A.M. at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St. Hingham with the Rev.
