Mary A. (Margaletta) Azevedo, 93, of Westport, passed away on Friday, September 9, 2016 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alfred P. Azevedo.
Mrs. Azevedo was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (D'Ambrosia) Margaletta and had been a longtime resident of Westport. Prior to her retirement, she worked in the cafeteria for the Westport School Department. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her 3 daughters: Donna L. Peckham and her husband Kevin Griffin of N. Attleboro, Debra A. Evans and her husband Roland Evans of Portsmouth and Joann Moran and her husband Thomas Carr of Somerset; her brother: Joseph Margaletta of Fairhaven; 2 grandchildren: John Moran & Kathleen Moran; along with several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Michael Margaletta, Rose Leary, Carmela Carvalho and Frances McGuire.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday, at the Potter Funeral Home from 9:30-10:30 A.M., prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
