Fall River – Mabel E. (Dean) King, 103, of Westport died Monday, August 1, 2005 at Southpoint Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center. She was the widow of William F. King.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late Charles H. and Elizabeth (Martin) Dean, and had resided in Westport for most of her life. Mrs. King was a communicant of St. George Church, Westport. Prior to her retirement she was employed by John Hancock Insurance Company in New Bedford. She was a recipient of the Gold Headed Cane, given to the oldest Westport resident.
She is survived by a nephew: George Dean of Westport; a niece: Beryl Sullivan of Andover, MA.
She was the sister of the late J. Edward Dean, Charles H. Dean and George F. Dean.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Friday, August 5, 2005 from the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Calling hours prior to service from 9 – 10:30 A.M.
Interment will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
