Evans, GA – Vicki Childs Courtney, 57, loving wife of Tim Courtney, entered into the kingdom of God on Saturday, September 10, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at West Acres Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Harmon officiating. Mrs. Courtney will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will be private.
Mrs. Courtney is also survived by her four children Rob Minton (Tara) of Hilton Head Island, SC, Russell Minton (Beth) of Hilton Head Island SC, Jessica Bell of Evans, GA, and Dylan Courtney of Athens, GA. Mrs. Courtney was a loving and affectionate grandmother to Brice Minton, Rileigh Minton, Eli Minton, Max Minton, Elizabeth Minton, and Ryan Minton. She was also a caring sister to Steve Childs (Pam) of Martinez, GA and Chris Childs (Lisa) of Evans, GA and a devoted aunt to David Childs, Taylor Blessing, and Rebekah Childs. She was preceded in death by her parents Bobby and Runelle Childs.
Mrs. Courtney was a faithful and longtime member of West Acres Baptist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering in the nursery.
Pallbearers will be Mandrell Carter, Daniel Cason, Roej English, Harry Harmon, Joe McGuire, Ronnie Michaels.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2016 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
