Gertrude E. Williams (81) died September 9th in the South Shore Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, Rockland.
She was born in Acushnet daughter of the late Manuel and Beatrice Travers. Gertrude was a bartender and waitress in the area working many years for the Bluemoon and Mike's Lounge. She enjoyed word puzzles listening to country music and spending time with family.
Survivors include 3 sons, Manuel and Harold J. Williams both of Brockton, Michael A. Williams of North Kingston, Rhode Island,( also the late Clarence P. Williams), 2 daughters, Hazel M. Rodrigues of Rhode Island, Sandra L. Williams of Brockton (also the late Gloria J. Grosso), 1 brother Manuel Travers of Rockland, many grand and great grandchildren.
Funeral Services in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Tuesday September 13th at 7 pm. Cremation to follow. Visitation from 4 pm prior to services.
