Eugene F. Murray 67, of Victory Hwy N. Smithfield, RI died Saturday in South County Hospital, in Narragansett. He was the husband of Anne (Michaud) Murray. Mr. Murray was born in Woonsocket a son of the late James P. “Heinie” and Marguerita (McCarthy) Murray Sr. Mr. Murray was a truck driver for McLaughlin and Moran Inc. for thirty five years retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Sons of St. Patricks, the Sons of Italy and the Teamsters Local 251. He was involved with the Autumnfest Beer Tent for over twenty five years.
Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Jamie P. Marcoux of N. Smithfield, two sons Eugene A. Murray and Daniel M. Murray both of N. Smithfield. A sister Catherine Stone of Blackstone, MA and one granddaughter. He was also the brother of the late James Murray.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Johns Church, Church St in Slatersville. Burial will follow in the parish Cemetery. Visiting Hours are 4-8 pm.
