Manuel J. Linhares Jr, age 80, of Old Orchard Beach, ME, formerly of Fall River, MA, passed away on Sunday August 28, 2016. He was the devoted husband of Henrietta M. (Freitas) Linhares and son of the late Manuel Linhares Sr. and Olivia (Ferreira) Linhares. Manuel was a member of the Teamsters Union and North Tiverton Band Club and enjoyed vacationing with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his 4 children: Kenneth Linhares of New Bedford, MA, Deborah Linhares (companion Richard Nelson) of Saco, ME, Joseph Linhares (wife Lori) of Wentworth, NH, and Manuel Linhares III (wife Debbie), 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Tuesday here at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 10 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
