Joseph P. Golas, 73, of Worcester died Wednesday, September 7th at home surrounded by his family. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Kathleen A. (Blomquist) Golas; his mother, Margaret (Dainys) Golas of Spencer; a son, Jason P. Golas; a daughter, Carolynn Tretheway and her significant other, Norman Joseph all of Worcester; a sister, Patricia Karpowicz of Spencer; three grandchildren, Jaquelyn, Jeremy and Stephen and his mother, Christa Young; a great grandson, Adrian; a niece, Melissa and a nephew, Greg.
He was born in Worcester the son of Joseph A. Golas. Joseph worked for the Food and Drug Administration for many years as a Senior Drug Inspector. He enjoyed photography, playing Keno, and spending time at the race track and casino.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
