Marlene Ruth Henry, a long time Tri-Cities resident, entered into rest on September 4, 2016 at Tri-Cities Chaplaincy Hospice in Kennewick. She was born on August 24, 1932 in Green Bay Wisconsin to Daniel Wesley and Arlene Ruth (Jenny) Wagner. Marlene lived in Kennewick in the 1930’s and in the 1940’s came to Prosser where she attended Prosser High School. She raised her three children in Benton City and Richland.
Family was very important to Marlene, especially her children. If you asked Marlene who she would consider the love of her life to be, she would proudly state her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Marlene, being much of a hard worker and care giver, gave thirty years of her life to work as a Case Worker for the Department Social and Health Services.
Marlene enjoyed reading, crocheting, crafts and loved traveling, especially around Washington State where she enjoyed the mountains and going to the beach. She also enjoyed camping with the family, and was a Garfield fanatic and a very talented seamstress.
Marlene is survived by her children; Debbie Edwards and spouse Jim Manske of Sun City, Arizona, Glenn Hannaman Jr. and spouse Robbie of Pasco, and Susan Meeks and spouse Jack Jr. of Kennewick, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers; Allen Wagner and spouse Louise of Cabot, Arkansas, Bruce Wagner and spouse Barbara of Prosser, sister; Lois and spouse Don DeVriend of Prosser.
