Obituary

Yvonne A. (Pelletier) Gillan, 91, of Beverly and formerly of Salem, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation Center in Danvers, following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Patrick J. Gillan, Sr.

Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Marguerite (Sauve) Pelletier. As a young woman Yvonne worked for the former CBS Hytron and Sylvania both of Salem. Following her marriage she devoted her time to her husband and the raising of their family. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren. Yvonne was an active member of Ste. Anne Parish for many years.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Hathorne Hill for their care and support of Yvonne. The staff went out of their way to make her feel at home and she considered them part of her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Gillan and her husband Andy Lupien of Daytona Beach, FL, her sons, Patrick J. Gillan, Jr. and his wife Dorothy of Beverly, Kevin A. Gillan of North Andover, her brother, Robert Pelletier and his wife Theresa. She also leaves four grandchildren, Berkeley, Matthew, Juliana and Brennen Gillan as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Lucien Pelletier.

Relatives and friends are invited gather on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:00 AM at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 10 AM. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visiting hours, at the funeral home will be on Friday, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
