RITA KAREN ABBEY
A Celebration of Life for Rita Karen Abbey, 68, of La Grange will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Colorado River Cowboy Church in Smithville, with Rev. Bubba Fowler officiating.
Rita was born September 4, 1948 in Carmi, Illinois to Clyde Adren and Hazel L. Hankins. She was married to Guy L. Abbey and was the manager of an anesthesia practice. Rita was a member of the St. Mark’s Hospital Auxillary, the Blanket Club Ministry, Second Chance Emporium, Born Again Emporium, and the Amen Food Pantry.
Rita passed from this life September 6, 2016 in her home.
Rita is survived by her husband: Guy L. Abbey of La Grange
1 son and 2 daughters-in-law: Brian and Shannon Abbey, and Colette Abbey.

2 brothers and sister-in-law: Darrell & Glenda Hankins and Dennis and Deanna Winter
1 Sister & Brother-in-law: Marcia & David Coston
2 Grandchildren: Allegra Lynn and Coryn Aloys and numerous nieces and nephews.
