On September 6, 2016, Elsa passed away at the Maryland Masonic Home. Elsa was born on December 25, 1921 to Erna and Fredrick Fischbach. She grew up in Morrell Park with older brothers Fredrick and Otto. Elsa attended the Maryland Institute College of Art for four years, earning her commercial art degree. She started working at Montgomery Ward at 16 and later for Schleissner’s a high end clothing store in Baltimore. She met her husband Harry on a blind date and a little over seven months later they got married. Elsa and Harry were married for 60 years.
Elsa is the beloved wife of the late Harry F. Bleakley, Jr. Devoted mother of Linda Dubbs, Sherry Hoffen, Harry Bleakley, III and Kimberly Bleakley. Loving grandmother of Brandon and wife Jil Dubbs, Ashley Dubbs, Lauren and Shane Hoffen and dear great-grandmother of Olivia and Asher Dubbs.
Family and friends may call at The Johnson-Fosbrink Funeral Home P.A., 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (beltway exit 29B) on Sunday, September 11th from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9p.m.; where all are invited to attend Funeral Services on Monday, September 12th at 10:00a.m. Interment in Parkwood Cemetery.
