Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Woodlawn Cemetery Chapel, 302 Elm Street, Everett on Friday, September 9th at 11 AM. Born in Melrose 37 years ago, Peter passed away at the Merrimack Valley Hospice in Haverhill after an courageous battle with cancer. Born in Melrose and raised in Wakefield, Peter was a graduate of Austin Prep Class of 1998 and furthered his education at Anna Maria College attaining a bachelors degree in Fire Science with the Class of 2011. Originally a firefighter with the Westwood Fire Department, 8 years ago he was a transfer to the Chelsea Fire Department were he was assigned to Engine 2, housed at Central Station in Fay Square. Devoted to his wife, 2 girls and family, when he was not working at the station he was an instructor at the Massachusetts Fire Academy as well as the coordinator and representative for Chelsea for the Urban Area Security Initiative as a specialist in Rescue and Training and Hazmat Tech.
