LT Jason R. Earls, 42

Lieutenant Jason R, Earls, age 42, of Sharon, formerly of North Attleboro, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 3, 2016, while on duty at MCI- Cedar Junction in Walpole. He was the loving companion of Tara A. Bisceglia.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 30, 1973, he was a loving son of Bobby E. Earls and Suzanne M. (Travers) Earls both of Attleboro.
Jason grew up in Mansfield. His family later moved to Norton where he was a 1993 graduate of Norton High School. He later served in the United States Air Force as a Military Police Officer and was stationed in South Korea and Italy, prior to being honorably discharged with the rank of Senior Airman.
Following in the footsteps of his father and his late uncle, former Mansfield Police Chief Jesse Earls, Jason worked in law enforcement as a Correctional Officer at MCI-Cedar Junction in Walpole for over 15 years. He was well respected by his peers and rose to the rank of Lieutenant.
Jason also served as a training officer and drill instructor at the Correctional Officers Academy and enjoyed boxing with the “Battle of the Badges” and staying in top physical condition.
When not at work, Jason’s favorite times were those spent with his daughters and companion. They were the pride and joy of his life and he was the best father and boyfriend in the world. Jason also had a special love for animals and will be deeply missed by the many people whose life’s he touched.
In addition to his companion Tara and his parents, he is survived by his loving and devoted daughters Abigail Suzanne Earls and Hannah Lorena Earls. He was the dear brother of Sergeant Chad M. Earls, MCI-Norfolk and his wife Amber of Attleboro and Jordan J. Weygand, MCI-Cedar Junction and his wife Jessica of Attleboro. He was the cherished uncle of Avery Earls and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, his best friends “Paizlee”, “Peyton”, “Dusty”, and “Aries”, as well as his many brother correctional officers.
His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Saturday, September 10th at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 9th from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
