Doherty, Philip 85 of Natick, formerly of Arlington, passed away peacefully on September 2 surrounded by his family. Loving husband of 57 years of Kathleen (Courtney) Doherty. Devoted father of Carol Holtz and her husband Paul of Natick, Philip Doherty MD and his wife April of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Anne London and her husband Jon of Wellesley, and Daniel Doherty and his wife Jennifer of Brunswick, Maine. Cherished Granda of Anderson, Owen and Leah Holtz, Waverley, Ian, and Conor Doherty, Julia, Emma, and Jenna London, and Henry and Calvin Doherty. Dear brother of Owen, his late wife Margaret of Donegal, William and his wife Kathleen of Donegal, Annie Diver and her late husband Charlie of Donegal, Neal and his wife Mary of England, Denis and his wife Mary of England, Philomena Keaney and her late husband Thomas of Walpole. Predeceased by the late Marie Bohan and her husband Thomas of Norwood, Daniel Doherty of Donegal, Andrew Doherty of England, Margaret Bryson and her husband Robert of West Bridgewater, Madge Cooke and her husband Martin of Donegal. Beloved brother-in-law of Patricia Doherty of Donegal and Agnes Doherty of England. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in United States, Ireland and England.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) Wellesley on Friday Sept. 9 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, Natick at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-8pm. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellesley.
