Obituary



Mr. Edward G. Vigue, 82, formerly of 35 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH passed away on Friday morning July 29, 2005 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH. He was born in Gorham, NH on October 3, 1922 the son of George A. and Alice E. (Stephenson) Vigue and has lived in Gorham for most of his life. He was a graduate of Gorham High School and was a US Marine Corps Veteran of WW2. Mr. Vigue was a member of Holy Family Church, the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion and the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW in Berlin. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Local #4 for many years.

Members of the family include three sons Joseph Arthur Vigue of Berlin, Ernest Allen Vigue of Andover and Edward A. “Chick” Vigue of Conway; a daughter Mrs. Victor (Jeanne) Aubut of Gorham; 5 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; a sister Alice Elizabeth Berwick of Gorham; nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Dora (Gallant) Vigue and by a sister Rose Torgerson.

SERVICES: A graveside service with military honors will be held on Thursday August 11, 2005 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Hayes Cemetery in Gorham. There will be no calling hours. Anyone who wishes may make a donation in his memory to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade Street, Gorham, NH.
