New Bedford – John C. Tyson, Jr., age 65, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Kindred Healthcare and Rehab - Hallmark. He was the loving husband of Theresa (Lopes) Tyson.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late John C. and Edith (Sousa) Tyson, Sr. He worked for Work Incorporated in New Bedford. He was member of the Christian Family Church.
His surviving family includes his wife, Theresa (Lopes) Tyson of New Bedford; stepchildren, Melissa Campbell of New Bedford, Christopher Campbell of Fall River; step grandchildren: Justin and Cody DeFino, both of New Bedford; Austin and Stefani Campbell, both of Fall River; step great grandchild, Sakari Manley-DeFino of New Bedford.
Mr. Tyson’s funeral will be Wednesday beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. with a Religious Service to begin at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in rural Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
