Robert E. "Bob" Brown, 78, of Anderson, IN passed away on September 2, 2016 at St. Vincent's Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1938 in Frankton, IN to the late Earl J. and M. Ethel "Bronnenberg" Brown.
Bob was the owner and operator of Bob Brown Auto Body in Anderson for 40 years and refused to retire. Restoring cars and his auto collection was his passion. In his spare time, he and his wife enjoyed participating in car shows and searching for his next restoration.
Auto racing was an active hobby. He was a National Crown Champ and a member of Robben's NASCAR Racing Team that ran at the Daytona 500. Bob was a lifetime member of the National Model A Club and National Street Rod Club.
Bob is surviving by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara J. "Brewster" Brown; 2 daughters, Debra L. "Brown" Weisbrod, Chicago, IL and Robin E. "Brown" Brown, Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Renee Weisbrod, Diane Weisbrod, Tracy (Daren) Weisbrod-Hoover, and Micah Robert Brown; sisters, V. Louise Yeager and Joanne Couch; in-laws, Alice M. Brown, Barbara Brewster, and Philip (Carol) Brewster.
Nephews, Herb Barger and Thomas E. Henson worked with Bob. Other nieces and nephews include, Becky (Herb) Barger, Terresa (John) Beaman, Suzanne (Charles) Schneider, Karyl (Anthony) Perkins, Cheryl (Dennis) Lankford, David (Andrea) Foley, Krista (Seth) Anderson, Michael Henson, Nancy Moles, Sharon (George) Snelson, Richard and Kenneth Porter, Paula (Doug) Geschwind, P.J. Brewster, Tiffany (Rusty) Kean, Sammy and Caitlon Brewster; and several great nieces and nephews.
Bob's daughter, Patricia E. Brown, preceded him in death as well as brother, Kenneth R. Brown; sisters, Carolyn Schwietzer, Pauline Porter Williamson, Leora and Marilyn Brown; and brother-in-law, Richard Brewster.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service at 10;00am with Rev. Don Schalfer and Pastor Richard Craig officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.
The family will greet friends from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
