Obituary

Michael Lambert Ramirez, 90, of Oxnard, passed away Thursday September 1, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Born in El Paso, Texas September 17, 1925 he later moved to California. He was a 1950 graduate of Loyola University Los Angeles.
He began his teaching career working for the Hueneme School district in 1967 at Charles Blackstock Junior High School in Oxnard. For 26 years he was an instructor at Charles Blackstock teaching French, Spanish, and Math. He retired from the district in 1993 after 26 years of service. With his colleagues he enjoyed a run after school, biking, and setting up a ping-pong table in the cafeteria for matches. Many students will remember him by his notorious white 1967 Mercury Comet know as "The Batmobile".
He leaves his beloved wife 51 years Angelita Ramirez; daughters Monique (Gary) and Annette (Fernando); son Michael ; 5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
Michael was a devoted Catholic. The family would like to give special thanks to the Sister Servants of Mary for all their time, talent, prayers and special words of encouragement.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10am Wednesday September 14, 2016 in Santa Clara Roman Catholic Church, 323 South E Street Oxnard.
