LACONIA, NH – Marie F. Driscoll, age 88, of Laconia, NH and formerly of Natick, MA passed away at the Laconia Rehabilitation Center, Laconia, NH on Monday, August 29, 2016. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert Driscoll.
Marie was born and raised in Millis, MA, the daughter of the late John and Florence (Bell) Morris. Educated in the Millis school system, she was a graduate of the class of 1945. Marie’s love for water was most often rewarded during the summer months by making time to renew herself by swimming, and likewise in the winter months, ice skating in which she became quite skilled over the years. When Marie could not break away to swim or skate, she made time to enjoy nature, by taking walks in the forest or along a sandy shore line. Over the years, singing was always something Marie loved.
She began working as a certified nursing assistant shortly after she settled in Natick and made a lifelong career working at Cushing Hospital and helping those in need. While maintaining her work schedule, Marie always found a way to make her family her priority. She truly loved making their home a happy one to which family and friends were always welcome.
Mrs. Driscoll is survived by her son Frederick Nialetz of Laconia, NH, her grandchildren, Lawrence Nialetz and his wife Anne of Weston, MA, Heather Johnson and her husband Aaron of Pembroke, NH, Casey Nialetz and his wife Ashley of Belmont, NH; great grandchildren, Falon Nialetz, Kevin Nialetz, Aiden Johnson, Acadia Johnson, Griffin Johnson, Jaelyn Nialetz, and Aleena Nialetz. She is predeceased by her seven siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service for Marie in the Chapel of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, at Natick Common on Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation hours will be held beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow the service in St. Patrick Cemetery.
