Jeannie Farmer Carey, 62, of Tifton passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2016, in Tifton. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Dr. Wayne Roe officiating. Mrs. Carey will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born March 23, 1954 in Tifton, Mrs. Carey was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Oliver Farmer and Alice “Virginia” Duggan Farmer. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Mike Farmer. She was a retired child-care provider and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Tifton. She had a home day-care for 40 years and, during that time, helped raise a lot of youth in the Tift County area.
Mrs. Carey is survived by her husband, Kim Carey of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and David Kinley of Senoia and Stephanie and Greg Eaves of Tifton; a sister-in-law, Ernestine Farmer of Ocilla; six grandchildren, Brittany Moody, Heather Moody, Lance Moody, Carter Kinley, Colin Kinley and Caylee Kinley; and one great-grandchild, Ryder Maxwell.
