Sophie N. Desmond (Bougopoulos) age 77 of Milton passed away August 28th at Season’s Hospice in Milton. Born in Boston, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and Dorchester and has lived in Milton since 1961. Sophia graduated from Girls High Class of 1956 and worked as a Clerk for New England Telephone for many years. She also worked for Gourmet Caterers in Roslindale for 30 years before retiring. Devoted mother of John Desmond of Glenville, IL, James Desmond of Milton and Lynn Desmond of Norton. Sister of Charles Bougopoulos of CA, Ann McCollough of Weymouth, and the late James Bougopoulos. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. Funeral service at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common St. Braintree, Friday morning at 10. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday from 4-8 pm. Burial in Milton Cemetery.
