Thompson, James Eric, 65, passed away August 27, 2016 in Louisville.
He was born to Arnold and Frances (Stewart) Thompson in Sonora, KY.
James was a proud U.S. Air Force Veteran, an avid golfer with South Park Country Club, and a proud member of Local IUE #761.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Arnold Thompson Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 37 years, Melinda Sue (Powell) Thompson; and a sister, Lisa Thompson Morgan (Damon); many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00PM at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is in Upton Cemetery in Upton, KY.
Visitation is Wednesday 2:00-8:00PM.
