John “ Bernie” Ballard, 62, peacefully entered heaven on Friday morning August 26, 2016, after a two year battle with lung cancer.
He is preceded in death by his father James R. Ballard, sister Chrissy Swift, brother Mike and daughter Martha Louise.
Bernie is survived by his wife of 43 years Brenda (Cooper) Ballard, daughters Kori Fisher (Alex) and Laci Lankford (Kyle); grandchildren Lilly F., Kylie L., Canaan F., Alyssa L., Lexi L. and Zoey L.; mother Thelma Ballard; brothers Kenny (Gayle) and Joe “Hank” Ballard ; sister Libby Jecker (Richard) in-laws Carol Ballard and Arvil Swift ; mother-in-law Martha Cooper and many loving family members and friends.
He was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church. He had worked for Ford Motor Co. for 28 years and he doesn’t have to go to work tomorrow na,na,na,na,na.
Funeral mass will be Tuesday at 11 A.M. at Incarnation Catholic Church 2229 Lower Hunters Trace with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be Monday at 2P.M. until 8 P.M. and Tuesday after 9 A.M. at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Highway.
