Normand W. Goyette, 90

Normand W. Goyette, age 90, of Attleboro, formerly of Norton passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
He was the beloved husband of the late Waltraut E. “Val” (Fechtner) Goyette and the late Mable (Sutcliffe) Goyette.
Born in Fall River, MA on April 19, 1926, he was a loving son of the late Philiza and Marie (Gallant) Goyette.
Norm grew up and was educated in Fall River. During the Korean War, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He was honorably discharged on July 23, 1952 with the rank of Private First Class.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Goyette was employed as a printer for twenty-seven years at Hasbro Industries in Pawtucket till 1989.
Norm had made his home in Attleboro for the past sixteen years and was a former fifteen year resident of Norton. He was a member of the DAV in South Attleboro, was an avid Red Sox fan, and enjoyed dining out with family at local restaurant establishments.
He is survived by his devoted children Janet Amaral, Norma Anthony, Bettina “Tina” Breen, Eva Mullens, Georgia Domke-Davis and Philip Domke. He was the dear brother of Alcide Goyette and the late Robert Goyette. He is also survived by his cherished 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
His funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday September 1st at 10:00 A.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield. Burial with military honors will follow at Cedar Knoll Cemetery in Taunton.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 31st from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home.
