Delores Jean (Zirkle) Dearing, 80, Anderson, died August 25, 2016 at Edgewater Woods after a brief illness.
Delores was born September 2, 1935 in Middletown, to Joseph and Cindy Ellen (Settles) Zirkle.
She was a member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ. She was an avid reader. She enjoyed cross word puzzles, crypto-quotes, playing euchre, camping and vacations.
She was an insurance agent and secretary for Dick Peck Insurance and Horner Insurance for 40 years before retiring in 2000.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia E. (Steve) Kohut of Warren and son, Michael Lawson of Anderson, sister, Ruth E. Staggs of Anderson and brother, Jack (Dorothy) Zirkle of Middletown; two nephews, Jeff Johns of Daleville and Norman Staggs of Anderson and a grandniece, Vicky Johns of Muncie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Dearing and two brothers Norman and Bob Zirkle
Funeral service will be at 2 pm on Monday, August 29, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Don Harsh of Meadowbrook Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery
Visitation will be held Monday from 1 to 2 pm at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Heart Association.
