David M. Wood, 67, of Londonderry, NH, passed away Wednesday August 24, 2016 at Parkland Medical Center of Derry after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born June 27, 1949 in Augusta, ME. And was a son of the late Edward and Helen (Royal) Wood. David was raised and educated in Winthrop, ME and has been a resident of Londonderry for the past 39 years.
Mr. Wood was employed for many years as a sales manager in the Automotive Parts Industry with Dana International and Parker Hannifin companies. He enjoyed wood working and camping and will forever be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Members of the family include two sons, Jason Wood and his wife Jenna, of Holly Springs, NC and Adam Wood of Londonderry; his daughter and her husband, Marcia and Andrew Mertinooke of Goffstown, NH, four grandchildren, Camden, Leanna, Bradyn and Ferris, two brothers, Harold Wood of Manchester, ME and Stephen and wife Sandra Wood of Woolwich, ME., as well as his ex-wife, Nancy Wood of Hooksett, NH.
After cremation, a memorial visitation was held on Sunday August 28, 2016 from 1 to 3 pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
