Arjan Ruqi, 32, of Worcester died Wednesday, August 24th in UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus surrounded by his family and loved ones. He leaves his wife, Ersinda (Kapshtica) Ruqi; a daughter, Sarah Ruqi; his parents, Pavllo and Marjanthi (Guda) Ruqi; a brother, Sokol Ruqi; his paternal grandmother, Lule Ruqi all of Worcester; his maternal grandparents, Stavro and Vasilika Guda of Greece; two aunts, Tatjana Vezuli of Worcester and Kristanthi Bogdani and her husband, Niko of Greece; three uncles, Miallaq Guda and his wife, Sofia; Thanas Guda and Margarita and Ilir Guda and Gentjana all of Greece; eight cousins, Alma Richards and her husband Gordon and their children, Timmy and Aiden, Kris Vezuli and his wife, Ligerta all of Worcester, Mihal Guda and his wife, Irini, Vasilika Guda, Vasil Guda, Angjel Guda, Kristo Bogdani, Klemend Bogdani and his wife, Nina all of Greece. He also leaves many more friends and loved ones.
He was a kind man that would do anything for those that he welcomed into his life. He will be dearly missed.
His funeral is Saturday, August 27th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury Street. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, August 26th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
