Obituary

Terry Young Luckett, 90, of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016.
He is a native of Morganfield, KY, a member of St. Bartholomew Church, and a former member of St. Matthias Church in Shively, KY. HE retired from KY State Transportation Department after 5 years and Louisville Motors after 23 years. Terry served in the US Navy during World War II and participated in Operation Mulberry in France 1944, aboard the USS Owl.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, John Mills and Mary Etheldreda Hancock Luckett; brothers, Marion, Bob, Tommie, Jack, Lloyd, Jerry, Chuck; sisters, Sr. Martha Rita Luckett, Betty Shultz, and Martha Alice Luckett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 64 years, Loretta Beaven Luckett; children Mary Ann Lilly (Denny), Michael Luckett (Sandi), and Ethelreda Brewer (Steve); 6 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren
His funeral Mass will be 10am Saturday at St. Bartholomew Church, with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery in Uniontown, KY. Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday at Owen Funeral Home – Jeffersontown, 9318 Taylorsville Road.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Morning Pointe Assisted Living Facility, also to the doctors and nurses with Hosparus of Louisville for their care.
