Kathleen Gayle Manty

TEWKSBURY: Kathleen Gayle (Mendys) Manty, age 52, a longtime Dracut resident, recently of Tewksbury, passed away at her Tewksbury Home on Sunday, August 21, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick W. Manty, who passed away on June 24, 2014.
Born in Lowell on October 15, 1963, she was the daughter of Marilyn J. (Prescott) Dugas, who survives her, of Lowell and the late Walter J. Mendys, Jr.
Kathleen was raised in Lowell, attended Lowell schools and graduated from Lowell High School in 1981.
Following high school, she attended Greater Lowell Vocational School, where she received certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Prior to her illness, she worked as a nurse at the Tewksbury Hospital for the past 23 years.
Kathleen enjoyed country music, spending sunny days at Lake Mascuppic, and the companionship of her close friends.
In addition to her mother, Kathleen is survived by three sisters, Charlene M. Starratt and her husband Brian of Worcester, Karen M. Hughes and her husband Tom of Orange County, CA, and Linda-Jo T. Spencer of East Hampton, CT; also many nieces and nephews including her godson, Sean Starratt.
She was the sister of the late Gary W. Mendys and the late Walter J. Mendys, III
Services for Kathleen will be held privately.
