James J. Kilgallon age 85 of Canton passed away August 22nd at the Harrington House in Walpole surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was raised in Brookline and graduated from Brookline High School Class of 1950. Jim served in the 40th infantry Division of the Army during the Korean War and worked for many years for IBM as a Dispatcher before retiring. He has lived in Canton since 1959 where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2095, the American Legion Post #24 and played in a men’s softball league. Beloved husband of the late Madeline M. (Cooper). Father of Bruce A. Kilgallon and his wife Karen of Pembroke, J. Scott Kilgallon and his wife Virginia of St. Louis, Maura J. Mayo and her husband Matthew of N. Attleboro and the late Nancy M. Kilgallon. Brother of Ronald T. Kilgallon of Brookline and the late John R. "Bobby", Walter F. 'Sonny", and MaryJane Nelson . Grandfather of Katelin, Jennifer, James and Alice Kilgallon, Madison and Mackenzie Mayo, and Jackie Styrcula. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Friday morning at 11:00. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Friday morning prior to the mass from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
