Whaley Cleo Fulford, 74, of Jasper, Tennessee, passed away, Sunday, August 21, 2016, at his home.
The family will receive friends from noon until 2 PM CDT, on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee. A memorial service will follow in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home.
Mr. Fulford was born September 9, 1941, in Berrien County, Georgia, to the late Freeman Cleo & Vera Whaley Fulford. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy, retiring after 22 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Fleet Reserve following a move from Point Mugu Naval Air Station, California. He was a resident of Jasper for 19 years and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife Prudence Fulford of Jasper, TN; a son, Keith Fulford; step-children: Richard Bice and Andrea Fahringer and her husband Terry; a brother, Jerry Fulford of Fitzgerald; four sisters: Betty Jean Dorminy of Fitzgerald, Mary Frances Stokes and her husband Bill of Lithonia, Jo Ann Tucker of Fitzgerald; and Ollie Brown and her husband Bill of Fitzgerald; two grandchildren: Brittany Fulford and Kelly Marie Fulford; three step-grandchildren: Christopher, Ashley, and Dustin Fahringer; three great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
