Laconia-----Evelyn K. Ferland 83, of Union Avenue died Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
Evelyn was born January 1933 in Wheelock, VT, daughter to the late Homer and Laura Dezan. She worked as a seamstress for Laconia Shoe for many years as well as Benmar Apparel and later retired in 1995. After retirement she worked part time for Franklin Trip Center, Henry's Dry Cleaner and St. Josephs Rectory for a number of years.
Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, genealogy and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all.
Evelyn is survived by her son Richard H. Ferland of Columbia, MO, Roger M. Ferland of Laconia, Randy J. Ferland of Meredith, Henry P. Ferland Jr of Rochester and Jeffrey S. Ferland of Tilton; one daughter, Diane M. Ferland of Laconia; 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by two children, Daniel P. and David L. Ferland, her estranged husband Henry Ferland, two brothers, Milo and Albert Dezan, three sisters, Isabelle Foulkrod, Lois and Esther Dezan.
A memorial calling hour will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 from 3:00- 4:00pm at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance.
A memorial service will immediately follow also at the funeral home at 4:00pm.
