Obituary

Laconia----Cheryl Ann Howland Green, 55, died at Dartmouth Medical Center Sunday, August 21, 2016 after a sudden illness.

Cheryl was born in Laconia, the daughter of David S. and Gale (Sottak) Howland. Cheryl graduated from Laconia High School in 1978. Cheryl was a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a mom and most important, a grandmother!

Before moving to Arizona in 1995 Cheryl worked at the family business on Route 3, Belmont, NH, Howland Home Improvement and Howland Laundromat/Car Wash for thirteen years. Cheryl returned to Laconia with her family in the year 2002.

Cheryl was pre-deceased by her beautiful daughter, Samantha, just this past July.

Cheryl’s family includes her husband of twenty years, Michael “Andy” Green, one daughter, Naomi Todd of Laconia and Naomi’s children, Madelyn, Lydia, Amber and James of Laconia and stepson, Marshall of Kentucky and son Charlie Green of Laconia, sister Glenda (Tim) Theos, brothers Craig (Kelly) Howland of Laconia and Todd (Stephanie) of Hampstead, NH, nephew David (Kaitlyn) Morse and great-nephew David of Westbrook, ME, nephews Ethan and Owen of Hampstead, NH and nephew Eli and niece Maci of Laconia.

Also part of Cheryl’s family are her in-laws C. Michael (Linda) Green, Moultonborough, Donna (Walter) Merrow of Tennessee and sister-in-law Danielle (Craig) Chase and nephews Hunter and Grady of Vermont.

Cheryl had a very special relationship with all of her grandchildren. She was the Grammy of the Year driving them to all sports, sometimes several in one day, and attending most of their games, driving them to school and so much more.

Cheryl will be remembered by her nieces and nephews as the aunt that always made them feel special and always made time for each and every one of them and was sure to ask them about school, work and their lives.

Cheryl’s favorite hobbies were “floating” in the lakes with her friends, gardening and attending family gatherings.

Cheryl had many, many friends from all “walks of life.” Cheryl made each person feel as if they were her best friend, as did Samantha with her friends!
