Deborah McCook Roberts, 62, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, August 22, 2016, at Medical Center – Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Christian Fellowship, Inc. with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Roberts was born July 23, 1954, in Fitzgerald to Mary Rineair McCook of St. Augustine, Florida and the late Grover McCook. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Fitzgerald. She loved antiques and crafting. Mrs. Roberts enjoyed visiting with the girls in St. Augustine.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jimmy Roberts of Fitzgerald; children and their spouses: Michelle & Alan Thomas of Fitzgerald, Timmy & Zoraida Roberts of Miami, Florida, Jimmy Lee Roberts, Jr. & Machelle, David Roberts, Robert Allen Roberts & Janet and Michelle & Jerry Medlin, all of Fitzgerald; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and five sisters: Cristy & Jerry King of St. Augustine, Florida, Elaine Walls of Fitzgerald, Mary Ellen McCook of Fitzgerald, Jackie & Jacky Corbin of St. Augustine, Florida, and Jill Kinson of St. Cloud, Florida.
