Obituary

Mr. William B. "Bill" Holland, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved husband of the late Rosemary Zetta Holland for 61 years, passed away at Lawrence General Hospital on Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was 87 years old.
Born in Woburn, MA, on December 6, 1928, he was the beloved son of the late William F. and Elizabeth S. Holland. Bill was employed by GE in Lynn, as a welder, for more than 40 years. A graduate of Essex Agricultural High School, he was a farmer at heart. He was a member of the Board for the Essex County Farming Co-operative and Danvers Fish and Game Club. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Above all, Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his loving children; Leslie J. and her husband Kenneth Putney of Derry, NH, Linda J. and her husband Dale Meltzer of Hampstead, NH, Judith L. and her husband Lynn Williams of Sandown, NH, Elizabeth H. and her husband Rod St.Amand of Hampstead, NH and William B., Jr. and his wife Gail M. Holland of Danvers, MA, sister, Gwendolyn Beelby of Marstons Mills, MA, brother; George Holland of Woburn, MA, sister-in-law; Jean Zetta of Methuen, grandchildren; Sarah L. and her husband Ryan Elliott, Nathan and Dustin Meltzer and Craig and Eric St.Amand, great-grandchildren; Landon, Brody and Julian Elliott, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jean Maher.
A graveside service will be held in St. Augustine Cemetery, Lupine Road, Andover on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet at Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home at 10:00 AM for a short visitation before the funeral procession at 10:30 AM.
