Rose Mary Dias, 46, of New Bedford died August 19, 2016 unexpectedly.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Eugenia "Geninha" (Baptista) Dias of New Bedford and the late Jaime Dias, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was formerly employed as a pharmacist assistant at Brooks Pharmacy.
Rose enjoyed Creole music, dancing and spending time with her grandson.
She was a helpful person with a good sense of humor and always remembered your birthday.
Survivors include her mother; a daughter, Kayla Dias and her fiancé Alex Potter of Fall River; her siblings, Autilio "Tee" Baptista and his wife Juanita, Julie Dias, Joana Grant and her husband Dwight, Joe Dias and his wife Terry and Jimmy Dias; her grandson, Zdeno Potter; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was the sister of the late Daniel Dias.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 25th at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 24th from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
