HARDY, Rudolph "Rolf" W. of Wellesley, August 19. Beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Marshall) Hardy. Devoted father of Christine H. Emily and her husband Douglas of Natick and James Douglas Hardy of Delray Beach, FL. Grandfather of Shawn, Ryan and Michael. Brother of the late Louise M. Hardy. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rolf was born in the Village of Lubbinchen (East Germany) on February 12, 1923. Rolf attended Ampleforth College in England, Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Columbia University, New York, and Kiel in Germany. He was a member of many business communities including the Boston Commitee on Foreign Relations; the National Association of Business Economics; the American Economic Association; the Goethe Society; the Boston Economic Club and the German American Council. Also a member of the Wellesley College Club, the Harvard Club and MFA, and many others.
Funeral Service in the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16), WELLESLEY, Tuesday at 11 a.m. Visitation prior to Service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment private.
