Frank Dennis Ross, 70, of Tifton passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Benjy Varnell and the Rev. Robby Paulk officiating. Mr. Ross will be laid to rest at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Monday, August 22, 2016, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Larry Smith, Christian Smith, Chip Watson, Bob Babbitt, Rusty Vaughn, Jimmy Moore and Franklin Lee Allen will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Gay, Jerry Day, Ray Talbird and members of the Chancel Choir at Tifton’s First United Methodist Church.
Born January 15, 1946 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mr. Ross was the son of the late Franklin Adams Ross and Mildred Grimsley Ross. He was retired from Tifton Aluminum Company and a member of Tifton’s First United Methodist Church, where he was a member of the Chancel Choir.
Mr. Ross is survived by his wife, Judy Giddens Ross of Tifton; his son, Brian Dennis Ross of Alpharetta; a sister, Frances Ross Moore of Warwick; and numerous nieces and nephews.
