Augusta, GA – Mr. Paris “Bubba” Wilson, Jr., 60, entered into rest on Friday, August 19, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Bobby Coleman and Rev. Sam Harden officiating. Interment to follow at West View Cemetery.
Paris “Bubba” Wilson, Jr., AKA Papa, was a lifelong resident of Harrisburg. He attended Martha Lester School, Tubman Junior High, and Richmond Academy. Bubba was a self-made hard working man and was employed at Edmonds and Jones Drug Store, Daniel Village Theater, and owned his own remodeling and construction company. He enjoyed remodeling numerous houses in the community of which he grew up and loved. Bubba was loved by everyone for his giant heart and open arms. His biggest accomplishment was his children and his loving family. We are proud of our Mr. Harrisburg (Bubba “Papa” Wilson).
Bubba is survived by his children, Chris Wilson (Annaelise), Michael Wilson (Heather Chancey), Brian Wilson, and Ashley Wilson.; his grandchildren, Hayden, Cruz, and Elijah Wilson; his sister, Faye Wilson McNair (Virgil Poole); his former spouse, Star Leverett; special nieces and nephews, Sherry Fulcher (David), and Chris McNair; his great niece and nephew, Macy McNair and David Fulcher, Jr.; his brother-in-law, Edward McCaslin and several other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Hyatt Wilson and Paris Wilson, Sr.; his sisters, Brenda McCaslin, and Margaret “Biggie” Hubbard; brothers-in-law, Phil McNair, and Jimmy Hubbard; and his nephew, Reginald Hubbard.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Chambers, Chris McNair, David Fulcher, David Fulcher, Jr., John Kobert, and Antione Strawder.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday evening, August 22, 2016 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
