Richard E. Bastarache, 73, of Dartmouth, peacefully passed away at his home on Thursday, August 18, 2016 with his family by his side. He was the husband of Lucille M. (Breau) Bastarache.
Mr. Bastarache was born in Acushnet, son of the late Leo J. and Irene (Reandeau) Bastarache and had resided in Dartmouth since 1983. He served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement in 2011, he worked as a presser at Acushnet Co. in Acushnet. He was a car enthusiast.
Survivors along with his wife include his daughter: Katherine A. Bastarache and her fiancé Michael J. Maciel of Fall River; his brother: Marc A. Bastarache of Acushnet; 2 grandchildren: Richard B. Bastarache and Beverly A. Pepin; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Diane A. Shear.
