Obituary

Denzil E. Regenold, 96, of Anderson died August 18, 2016 at his Primrose home
after a brief illness.

Denzil was born on March 17, 1920 in Osgood, Indiana. He was a 1938 graduate of Noblesville High School. After graduation from Butler University's School of Pharmacy, Denzil served in the United States Army during World War II. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the 37th Infantry in the South Pacific.

Following the War, he began his pharmaceutical career at Gwinn's Drugstores in Anderson. During his 50 years as a pharmacist, he also held the position of President of the Gwinn's Corporation.

Denzil was a member of the National Association of Retail Druggists, the Indiana Pharmaceutical Association, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the First United Methodist Church.

Denzil was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille (Weaver) Regenold, and his brother, Russell Regenold.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Jim Fischer of Wesley Chapel, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Terry Regenold of Noblesville; grandchildren, Kirk Rehm, Stephanie (Rehm) and Matthew Franklin, Kimberly (Regenold) and Chad Olson and Kelly (Regenold) and Nick Badgett, six great-grandchildren, Conner, Parker, Caden, Reagen, Cameron and Mallory; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. William Mathys of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites by Lapel American Legion.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion or VFW. Post 266.
