Mr. John Correia, of Taunton, died Tuesday, August 16 in the Boston Medical Center, Boston, following a period of failing health. He was born 77 years ago in Taunton, the son of the late Armand and Phoebe (Fratus) Correia, Sr. John was a lifelong city resident. He enjoyed listening to country music and riding his bicycle. He was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Taunton.
He leaves: 2 brothers: Armand Correia, Jr. and his wife, Cherie of Taunton, and Anthony Correia of East Taunton; 5 sisters: Emelia Desrosiers of Fall River, Rosalina Bostock and her husband, Russell of Taunton, Virginia Remy and her husband, Donald of Taunton, Barbara Correia and Mary Ferreira, both of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. John was also the brother of the late George Correia, Joseph Correia, Ida Sylvia, Madeline Silvia, and Marianne Correia.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Friday, August 19 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. A Prayer Service will follow the Visiting Hours at 7:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
