Angela Celata of Medford died on Tuesday, August 16, at Courtyard Nursing Care Center of Medford. Born in East Boston, she was raised and educated in Medford, the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (DeAngelis) Celata.
Angela was the sister of the late Anna DePrizio and her husband Anthony, the late Helen Christian and her husband Edwin, the late Michael Celata and his wife Julia, the late Pasquale Celata and his wife Dolores, the late Augustus Celata and his wife Edna. She was the loving aunt of Gail A. Brancella of Medford and her significant other Thomas Pernarelli of Wilmington. She was the loving great aunt of Janine Connors of Stoneham. Angela was also the loving aunt of Dorothy Celata of Wallingford, CT, Anthony DePrizio and his wife Jo-Ann of The Villages, FL, Kenneth Christian and his wife Sue of Trenton, ME, Richard Celata of North Reading, William Celata and his wife Judy of Wallingford, CT, Robert Celata and his wife Patricia of Durham, CT, the late Michael Celata Jr. and his wife Mickey, the late Stephen Celata and his surviving wife Paula Celata. Angela is also survived by many loving great- and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Saturday, August 20 at 9AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, August 19, from 4 through 8PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
