Cameron Kirk Thrasher, 36, of Duxbury and Maui, HI, died unexpectedly at home on August 12. He was born in Plymouth MA to Scott C. Thrasher and Nancy Bannerman Thrasher on September 11, 1979.
Cam grew up in Duxbury with his father and stepmother Maureen Thrasher, and on Maui with his mom. He excelled in baseball where he consistently made the All Star team in Maui and also was a superb wrestler in Duxbury. Cameron attend Baldwin High School on Maui , graduated from Duxbury High School in 1999 and attended Massachusetts Maritime Academy. As an adult Cameron lived in Duxbury and worked for his father as a Master Carpenter.
He loved animals, boating, fishing, “beach rides” with his brothers and was a talented artist.
Cameron is survived by his Grandmother Regina Bannerman of Duxbury, His mother Nancy Bannerman and her partner Martin Thornton of Boston and Maui, his father Scott Thrasher and stepmother Maureen Simkins Thrasher and beloved brothers Christopher and Derek Thrasher all of Duxbury as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, August 19th from 4-8:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St (Rt. 106), Kingston. A memorial service will be held at First Parish Duxbury, Tremont St at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 20th.
