TEWKSBURY - Roger Nelson Trott, age 85, an former employee of the Town of Tewksbury for over forty years, died peacefully on Sunday afternoon, August 14, at Sunny Acres in Chelmsford, after a long period of declining health.
Roger was born in Chelmsford in February 1931, one of nine children of the late Carl R. and Flora (Luke) Trott, but had been a lifelong resident of the Tewksbury.
Roger retired from the Forestry Division of the Tewksbury D.P.W., when it was known as the “Tree Department.”
Roger loved the out doors, especially winter skiing, days on the beach, and spending time with his many friends.
He leaves three children, Lynn Dickerson and her husband Patrick of Brookline, NH, Gary N. Trott and his wife Gina (O’Brien) Trott of Pelham, NH, and Glenn F. Trott and his wife Darlene (DelSolia) Trott of Billerica; five grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Julie (Parker) Dickerson of VT, Cory Dickerson of Brookline, NH, Travis Trott of Pelham, NH, Shannon O’Brien of Pelham, NH, and Rachael Trott of Billerica; a great grandson, Logan Dickerson; his sister Betty Lewis of Tyngsboro, brother Warren Trott of Minn; many nieces and nephews; and was predeceased by a daughter Karen Trott; brothers Carl, Robert, Melvin, Howard, Kenneth Trott; and sister Ivy M. Conlon.
