Patricia L. (DePippo) Hislop, age 75, of Norton, passed away peacefully, with her loving family and friends at her side, on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. She was the beloved wife of John D. Hislop, to whom she was wed for the past twenty-five years.
Born in Lawrence, MA on February 18, 1941, she was a loving daughter of the late Alfred DePippo and Dorothy (Ivory) Kaufman.
Patty grew up in Lawrence and later lived in Lynn and Boston until moving to Norton where she had made her home for the past 58 years.
She was a dedicated mother to her adoring family whom she loved spending time with. Her hobbies included shopping, traveling and Saturday date nights with her husband John at the Tavern from Tower Square in Plainville. Patty will always be remembered for the pride she placed in her personal appearance and the manner in which she kept her home.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her loving and devoted children Christine Reks of Orange County, CA, Michele O’Malia of San Diego, CA, Bill O’Malia and his wife Rose of Court Springs, TX and Brenda Lally and her husband Michael of Cumberland, RI. She was the dear sister of Joe DePippo and his wife Alina of Cumberland, RI. She is also survived by John’s children Jack Hislop and his wife Patty, Michael Hislop and his wife Laura, Tim Hislop and his wife Annie, Steve Hislop and his wife Lindsey and Joe Hislop. She is also survived by her loving 23 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Mass, in celebration of her life, on Friday, August 19th at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will be private and visiting hours have been omitted.
