Koebel, Marvin A., 84, passed away August 13, 2014 in Louisville.
He was born to George and Catherine (Orthmann) Koebel.
Marvin is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, after 30 years, a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers Union, a volunteer with The Louisville Zoo, Actors Theater, and the Bunbury Theater. He was a Catholic by faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carolyn (Riehl) his second wife, Patricia ; a son, Lawrence; and several brothers, and sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Denise Koebel, Lisa Giacalone (Paul), Leah Shields (Jason), Donna Bowers (Mike), and Kenneth Webb (Melinda); a daughter-in-law Laura Koebel; a sister, Bernice Gibson, and seven precious grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00AM at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. Burial is at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday 1:00-8:00PM.
